Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) prompt Monday that President Trump and his administration doesn’t care in regards to the Structure and argued her fellow Democrats have to push again “with the same type of energy.”
Crockett, a vocal critic of Trump and his allies, particularly criticized tech billionaire Elon Musk and his Division of Authorities Effectivity (DOGE) for reportedly having access to the Treasury Division’s fee programs.
The Texas lawmaker, who sits on the Home Oversight panel, advised CNN in an interview Monday that “proper now we’ve got an administration that would care much less about what the courts say that they’ll do.”
“They could care less about what the law says. They could care less about the Constitution,” she continued. “And so I think that we have to understand that we are not dealing with normal people.”
“We are dealing with someone who has proven to be a criminal, proven to be disrespectful to us as Americans,” she added, referencing Trump.
Musk and his allies have additionally set their sights on the U.S. Company for Worldwide Improvement (USAID), trying to shutter the company that distributed some $30 billion on growth, safety and humanitarian support to over 100 nations.
The SpaceX CEO stated Trump agreed with him that USAID must be eviscerated and later, the president made Secretary of State Marco Rubio the performing administrator of the company.
“And listen, we have to fight him the exact same way. We have to come back with the same type of energy, which means that if you want to play ball, then I‘m ready to play ball,” Crockett advised CNN host Laura Coates.
