“But here’s the deal, there is no fixing this without the Democrats,” Crockett added later within the interview. “We have seen this over and over, and I’m just gonna sit back and sip my tea and wait on them to figure it out.”
Her feedback come after allies of President-elect Trump criticized a big stopgap funding invoice negotiated by Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) that may maintain the federal government open till not less than mid-March. Tech billionaire Elon Musk — whom Trump tapped to serve on an advisory board trying to minimize spending — lashed out on the persevering with decision, calling it a “piece of pork.”
