Freshman Rep. Addison McDowell (R-N.C.) launched laws this week to rename the Dulles Worldwide Airport (IAD) close to Washington after President Trump.
McDowell, who represents North Carolina’s sixth Congressional District, proposed the invoice on Thursday alongside Reps. Man Reschanthaler (R-Pa.), Brian Jack (R-Ga.), Riley Morre (R-W.Va.) and Brandon Gill (R-Texas).
If the laws finally ends up passing via Congress and is signed into legislation, the airport will probably be named ‘‘Donald J. Trump International Airport’’.
“We have entered the golden age of America largely thanks to President Trump’s leadership,” McDowell stated in a Thursday press launch. “It is just proper that the 2 airports servicing our nation’s capital are duly honored and revered by two of the very best presidents to have the consideration of serving our nice nation.”
