The World Well being Group established World AIDS Day on Dec. 1, 1988. 1000’s have been contracting HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. Because the first AIDS case was reported in 1981, some 25 million folks have died from the illness.
On this episode of The Change Up, activists clarify how they’re working to teach communities on HIV and AIDS, finish the stigma related to the sickness and tackle the rising racial disparities across the illness.
Their final objective? To create an HIV/AIDS-free technology.
